How long is the rental period?


All yard cards and celebration signs are one day rentals. Unless there is severe weather, our practice is to pick them up the following morning. If desired and available, you can extend the rental of your signs for an additional fee.




How far in advance should I place my order?


We accept orders on our website up to 48 hours in advance of a date. Our themed packages and specialty signs are limited and rented on a first come, first serve basis. Please order early to ensure availability. Two weeks notice is recommended if you are requesting a custom/non-stock display.

Please contact us directly for last-minute signs. A $25 rush fee may apply.




Where do you deliver?


Signs of Happiness provides FREE delivery to Fairfield, Norwalk, Southport, Weston & Westport. There is a $10 travel surcharge for Darien, Easton, New Caanan and Wilton. There is a $20 travel surcharge for Stamford. There is a $25 travel surcharge for Cos Cob, Old Greenwich, Riverside & Trumbull. There is a $30 travel surcharge for Greenwich, These fees will be billed separately.

Please contact us if your city is not listed as we may be able to accommodate you for an additional delivery fee.

What time and days do you deliver?


We deliver and decorate seven days a week, except on major holidays. We typically deliver in the morning between sunrise and 11 am. Please let us know if there is a specific window of time in which you would like the delivery to take place, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.




If the sign is a gift, how will the recipient know who sent it?


When a yard decoration display is rented as a gift, upon request, we can leave a hang tag card on the front door for the recipient that lets them know who sent it and how the rental works.




Where in the front yard will you place the signs?


We use our best judgment regarding sign placement to ensure optimal visibility and a pleasing backdrop for photographs. If there is a specific spot you would like for the signs to be placed, please notify us when you place your order and we will do our best to accommodate your request. We cannot guarantee exact placement if you are not at home when we deliver the signs, and/or if you have not marked the location in the yard with a clearly visible marker.




Will the signs damage my lawn?


The signs will not damage your yard. If anything, they may give you some free aeration! The yard card signs are displayed on very small wire stakes which barely make a mark.




How can I customize a sign for my loved one?


Let us know what hobbies or interests your recipient has and we will do our best to customize their sign with our variety of yard art so it is personal to them!




What happens if it rains or snows?


Our signs are weather durable and fine in normal rain or snow. In the event of extreme inclement weather, we may not be able to set up any lawn displays. Inclement weather includes lightning/thunderstorms, hurricanes, heavy rain or snow, ice (severe frozen yard), high wind and/or anything else that would put us or our lawn display in harm's way. We will only set up a display if we believe you can enjoy it for the full day during daylight hours. If we are unable to set up due to unforeseen events, we will either rebook you or provide a full refund.




How can I prepare for our installation?


Please make sure the installation area is free of toys and furniture. We love dogs, but please make sure that your front yard is clear of all pet waste. In summer, please make sure your lawn has been watered at least 12 hours before our arrival. All lawn maintenance should be scheduled either BEFORE installation or AFTER pick up the following day. In winter snow, please make sure there is a safe, clear path to the front yard and the front door.
